I am a keen cyclist, who has taken part in the Liverpool to Bournemouth bike event on several occasions (although I usually end up closer to the rear of the pack, than the front!), and I also enjoy going swimming at my nearby leisure centre club.

In my free time I also like to play golf, go fishing and chill out by the lake, or sometimes even simply sit around in front of the telly and enjoy watching the football.


My other different interests include painting, drawing and reading, with horror books being my favorite type.

I love everything fire related and I'm also a an associate several different historic societies.

I have been to a lot of different fire shows in my time, all across Europe, and I also take great pride in my knowledge of fire safety (that I plan/hope to share with you).

On the subject of fire safety I would personally consider myself as a a well qualified person, due to the fact I spent more than a decade working as a fire fighter, and as well as my experience I've also been on quite a few different training courses as well.

My goal with this blog is to make a few new friends, and also share some of my expertise and encounters with you.

This web site is going to incorporate information about everything fire safety related, and will hopefully incorporate some amazing video clips and photos, along with some useful advice and information.
